Rohr predicts a slim margin of victory for Nigeria

Modo Victor(text and pictures) Head Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Gernot Rohr, on Wednesday predicted that the Super Eagles will most likely win the game against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroun by a lone goal. Speaking to news men ahead of the encounter, Rohr acknowledged the peculiar challenge presented by Cameroun as African Champions, but noted that the Super Eagles are ready for the game and will do everything in their power to secure victory over the two legs, and consequently qualification.

Ezenwa to start in goal for Nigeria

Head Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Gernot Rohr, today confirmed that FC Ifeanyi Ubah shot stopper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, will start in goal for Nigeria against the Cameroun in the World Cup qualifier slated for Friday, 1st of September, 2017. Rohr, while fielding questions from journalist at the pre-match press parley, said that Ezenwa is a good goal keeper and capable of filling in at the post in view of the unavailability of three senior goal keepers through injury. Ezenwa, beaming with smiles, assured the nation that he will step up to the plate to do the needful to help Nigeria secure all 3 points. He pointed out that his days as understudy to Carl Ikeme and Daniel Akpeyi has prepared him for the role and he promises not to disappoint Nigerians. Daniel Akpeyi's injury seems however to be fate at work, as Nigerians have clamoured that the Chippa United shot stopper be dropped following his not too convincing performance against South Africa earlier in the year.
