Odey, Sikiru Lead Called Up Home Based Players Charge in Super Eagles.

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has invited 25 players including four home based stars ahead of the forthcoming camping in France in preparation for the friendly game against the small French island of Corsica which will serve as build up to the Africa Cup of Nations 2019 qualifier against South Africa with notable names like Victor Moses and Ogenyi Onazi not included.

The first phase of camping is billed to open on May 24 with the friendly against Corsica to come up on the 26th of May. Then the team will move to Paris for the second camping phase ahead of the AFCON qualifier vs South Africa.

Home based players such as Nigeria professional football League top scorer Stephen Odeh and one time CNN goal of the week winner Sikiru Olatunbosun both of Lagos based MFM have gotten their first call up to the national team. Other players from the home front who made it to the provisional list include FC Ifeanyi Ubah shot stopper Ikechukwu Ezenwa and midfielder Alhassan Ibrahim of Akwa United.
